nuVision Financial โCrushing the Competition’ With Loan Campaign
Huntington Beach, CA โ” nuVision Financial FCU kicked off its Xtreme Loans campaign with a “Monster” event June 28 and 29 at its corporate offices in Huntington Beach, California.
Bearing the theme “Crushing the Competition,” the credit union pulled out all the stops at the two-day event, which featured appearances by the Playboy Xtreme Team, Obsession Racing, “Street Trucks” magazine, 97.1 KLSK Xtreme Talk Radio and oldies radio station K-EARTH 101.
Those in attendance had plenty of things to see and do. Spectacular Catering provided the food; Plan-It Interactive provided giant inflatable games, including Orbitron and a bungee run; and Line X custom truck bedliners and Huntington Beach Chrysler/Jeep displayed their wares. Attendees also received autographs from the Playboy Xtreme Team and Obsession Racing’s driver, had a look at Obsession Racing’s Monster Truck, enjoyed free drinks from Red Bull Energy Drinks and received giveaways from the radio stations and nuVision Financial. Line X and Street Trucks provided a Ford Ranger to give away in a drawing.
The credit union touted the event to members and non-members alike with 30,000 direct mail postcards, radio ads, branch displays, tent cards and fliers onsite at the Boeing Company and a Yamaha Wave Runner on display at the credit union’s main branch, which will be given away at the end of August. The “Xtreme Loan” logo is also on display on window decals and polo shirts being worn by employees
In addition to generating loan awareness, the credit union is also helping out the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN). Network representatives and the “Miracle Family” were present at the event and nuVision Financial will give $5 to CMN for every loan it books during the promotion up to a maximum of $5,000.
“It’s a win-win situation for everyone,” stated nuVision Financial Marketing V.P. Kerry Lewis. “We benefit from raising the awareness level, the Children’s Miracle Network benefits from the loans we book and our members not only receive a terrific loan from us, they’re helping us donate to a worthwhile cause.”
Both auto loans and real estate loans are being highlighted during the 3 month-long promotion. PrimeDirect Mortgage, nuVision Financial’s real estate subsidiary, had a booth at the event to discuss real estate programs and as a result four loan applications were submitted. nuVision Financial loan representatives also talked with attendees about the credit union’s auto loan programs and took loan applications.
“The Credit Union is to be commended,” noted PrimeDirect Mortgage CEO Ed Casanova. “This event will go a long way to fostering a very positive and powerful community message about the credit union. Everyone who came by our booth talked about how delighted they were with it all and how much fun they were having. Also, having the kids as the centerpiece in the event was an excellent ideaโ”especially since many of their parents were able to do some business (with us and the credit union) in a friendly and happy place. What a wonderful idea!”
Casanova also commended nuVision Financial’s marketing agency, Los Angeles-based Simon and Associates “for their hard work in putting this together so quickly and doing such a good job with it.”
“It was a great challenge for us,” said Jane Simon of Simon & Associates. “nuVision was willing to step out of the box and they’ve set the new standard for future marketing efforts in the industry. It’s a terrific promotion.”
nuVision Financial FCU was founded as Douglas Aircraft Company FCU in Santa Monica, Calif. in 1935. The credit union serves over 65,000 members and stands at $500 million in assets.
